The first time I saw this TV, it really caught my attention. So I thought of buying it to replace my current HDTV. Then finally I decided to purchase it and I shelled out around $500 and have it delivered (I Bought From This Special Link).
There were many things I have heard and read about Samsung PN42C430. There are people who shared about their appreciation of its features while others told about their bad experiences.
I Just Love It
But for me, I still have to find out which is true and so far I really like Samsung PN42C430 model. And since I love to play games, what I anticipate for this TV are its features that highly support gaming and ever since I intended to purchase an HDTV for gaming purposes.
So why did I choose Samsung above all other brands? Because Samsung is my favorite brand and of course, Samsung tops them all when it comes to LCD and Plasma TVs. But I still have to prove this with my new Samsung PN42C430.
Difficult Setup? Not at all…
Setting up my new HDTV was not difficult at all. Though there were a bit of inconvenience at first as I took everything out of the box but the rest went smoothly. As I finished the TV set up I took a look at my new HDTV and sighed with great relief and full satisfaction. It looked so beautiful in black finish. It is shiny and smooth, and really attractive. It fits beautifully on my living room. I felt so lucky to have owned a Samsung PN42C430.
Then I wanted to dig much further. I turned it on to experience it performance apart from its beautiful appearance. At first I noticed that there is something wrong with the picture. It was dark and the image simply went blank especially in dark scenes. Funny to think but I found out that I was seated on the wrong angle so I tilted the TV a little bit to get the best view. And there it was, unveiled right in front of me very crystal clear and crisp images. I was really amazed by the clarity of the pictures it showed.
When I read the specification, my new Samsung PN42C430 is using the Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio which produces very rich color for every frame. With my new Samsung PN42C430, I have had a very fascinating cinematic experience!
About The Sound System
As regard to the sound, I am not really particular with it but I found it much better than my previous TV. I made a little adjustment to the sound since it seemed a little bit bland until I got what I desired. In gaming, picture and sound must perfectly collaborate with each other. I found sound options from low, medium, to high volume.
I tried to connect it with my PS3 and started playing my favorite games. Wow! I was quite stunned by its performance. My new Samsung PN42C430 is a total accessory of my PS3. The clear and crisp picture display is outstanding. With great eagerness, I played to all my content for about five hours and nothing has changed with its performance.
With respect to energy consumption, my new HDTV is Energy Star compliant promising to abide with the environmental conservation policies while consuming low energy that saves you money.
I heard some negative feedbacks about this model regarding its buzzing sound. Well, I cannot deny that I did hear a little buzzing sound which is common to any LCD TV, but it didn’t bother me at all. I was overwhelmed by what I see and that buzzing sound doesn’t matter to me at all. Above all, what really counts for me is its overall performance. I found it worth with the bucks I spent for it.
